The Mona Lisa Story

Sydney R. Dozier founded Renaissance Marketing Group in 2014 at just 22 years old. While her experience as the Marketing Director of a major music museum in Nashville gave her a strong foundation in social media, business strategy, and PR, she often wished she had a mentor to turn to for guidance. As a young female entrepreneur navigating the challenges of business ownership, she found herself craving a community where she could openly ask questions, gain insight, and learn from those who had walked the path before her.

As Renaissance Marketing Group expanded from Atlanta to Nashville, Sydney knew she wanted to create the kind of support system she had once longed for. “In the early days of building my business, I felt like I was figuring things out alone. I always knew that if I ever had the chance, I’d create something that made sure other women didn’t have to. The Mona Lisa Foundation is that dream realized—it's my way of passing the ladder down and lifting women up.”

After seven years of serving hundreds of businesses, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits, The Mona Lisa Foundation officially launched in 2021. Through a dedicated application process, the foundation provides mentorship, resources, and grantsto female entrepreneurs in the Greater Nashville area, equipping them with the education, network, and financial support Sydney wished she had in her early years of business. Our mission is simple: to inspire, educate, and empower women on their entrepreneurial journeys—because every woman deserves the opportunity to build something extraordinary.
